Surface Coater in Herzogenaurach
The job
A surface coater has the following tasks:
- The mechanical, chemical and electronic treatment of surfaces
- Creating metallic coatings with different technologies and methods
- Operating and monitoring electroplating plants
- Documenting work processes
The training
After receiving well-founded basic training, you will acquire a range of special skills in the subareas:
- Chemical and electrochemical deposition of metals
- Anodizing technology
- Thin-layer technology
- Galvanizing
You will, therefore not only learn the actual electrolytic coating process, but will also test the electrolyte, monitor technical equipment, wastewater treatments, environmental protection, check coatings and methods as part of quality assurance measures.
The training lasts 3 years.
The minimum educational requirement is an intermediate school certificate.
